Each summer, more than 150 children entering kindergarten through fifth grade attend this week-long program, which is open to church members and the surrounding community. Teens, from sixth grade on up, serve as helpers. Caring adults volunteer to be group leaders or take charge of crafts, music, snacks, and games. The primary purpose of Vacation Bible School is to teach children about Jesus and His love. Through creative lessons, crafts, and songs, the children learn to practice their faith in their everyday lives. In addition, the children are encouraged to help others who are less fortunate in our community and the world. Each year, the children contribute to programs such as Lutheran World Relief or local food pantries. By the end of the week, they have grown in faith and made a significant contribution to those in need.
