“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations …
teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
— Matthew 28:19-20

Living Lord Lutheran Church offers many different opportunities to grow in faith in Jesus Christ.

For Children and Teens

Sunday School    (go to Sunday School page...)
Our Sunday School mission is to Grow Disciples! To do this, we offer exciting Sunday morning activities for children from three years old through sixth grade. Our dedicated volunteer Sunday School teachers, helpers, and praise leaders help the children learn about God the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit and how to act on their faith in their daily lives. Sunday School

Preschool Sunday School — Each week, our preschoolers (ages 3-5 years) gather for their very own Sunday School program. Each engaging session includes fun, Bible-centered activities and crafts.

K–4th Grade Workshop Rotation Sunday School — These children focus on one Bible story or lesson for several weeks, but learn about it in different, interactive ways every week. Each Sunday, each grade level rotates to a different Workshop, where the children learn about God in dynamic and creative ways using a variety of media including computers, drama, movies, arts and crafts, and games.

5th–6th Grade Sunday School — Fifth and sixth graders have their own Sunday School program, through which the children begin to deepen their relationship with Jesus with the help of caring teacher-mentors, who guide them with fun and creative lessons. These lessons also connect with activities at Midweek Mania on Tuesday evenings, from 6:30-8:00 PM. At Midweek Mania, these “tweens” enjoy wacky fun and receive active encouragement in their faith.Teenage Bible Study

Teenage Bible Study and Peer Ministry

Living Lord offers Sunday morning Bible studies for junior high and senior high school students. For teens who want to take the next step in their faith and minister to their friends, Living Lord offers the Peer Ministry program. These teens learn the principles and practical applications of how to minister to their peers. Living Lord Church also provides many other opportunities for teens to grow their faith through their participation in the high school youth group.

Vacation Bible School (go to VBS page...)

Vacation Bible School Each summer, approximately 200 children attend this week-long program, which is open to church members and the surrounding community. The main program is geared toward younger children (K–5th graders), but 6th and 7th graders can participate in a special service-oriented program designed just for them. Eighth graders and high school kids serve as helpers. Caring adults volunteer to be group leaders or take charge of crafts, music, snacks, and games. The primary purpose of Vacation Bible School is to teach children about Jesus and His love. Through creative lessons, crafts, and songs, the children learn to practice their faith in their everyday lives. In addition, the children are encouraged to help others who are less fortunate in our community and the world. Each year, the children contribute to programs such as the Heifer International Project or local food pantries. By the end of the week, they have grown in faith and made a significant contribution to those in need. Our 6th and 7th graders take an even more direct approach to helping others through fun and challenging community service projects.

Faith Stepping Stones

The Faith Stepping Stones program encompasses many elements of Christian education at Living7th Grade Bible Receipt Lord Church and is geared toward giving families additional tools to raise their children to love the Lord. As children reach each significant milestone, or “step,” in their faith life, the Faith Stepping Stones program helps families grow in faith together. Parents of these children meet, typically for two or three separate sessions, to receive and discuss valuable faith-building information. Families may enter the program at any stage. Current steps include: (1) baptism; (2) entry into Sunday School (three-year-olds); (3) learning the Lord’s Prayer and the Ten Commandments (first graders); (4) first Bible (third graders); (5) first Communion (fifth graders); (6) entry into confirmation (seventh graders); (7) confirmation and entry into the high school youth group (ninth graders); and (8) graduation celebration (twelfth graders).

Confirmation (register for confirmation...)

The confirmation program at Living Lord is geared toward preparing seventh and eighth graders to Confirmationconfirm their faith as Christians and become active members of the congregation. Here We Stand is an on-line based confirmation program that provides both confirmation leaders and students with the tools and technology to help learn about the Christian faith from a Lutheran perspective. Our goal is to provide a creative and fun confirmation program that encourages students to (1) experience a solid relationship with the Lord; (2) build friendships within a Christian community (small groups); and (3) serve others in community with their small group. Instruction and practice in these three elements help children learn what it means to be a follower of Christ and a member of the Church. Confirmation is the beginning of a life of faith shared with others.

For Adults

Adult Education (more...)
The goal of the adult education program at Living Lord is to provide relevant, Bible-based education to help the adults in our congregation grow in their faith and knowledge of Jesus Adult EducationChrist. The program is designed to supplement and expand on the worship experience, to dig deeper into the Word of God. Study courses range from the basics, for those who are not familiar with or have never studied the Bible, to more advanced, disciple-building studies, for those who seek greater faith-building challenges. Living Lord offers many Bible studies and small-group ministries at different times and on different days of the week to accommodate today’s busy schedules.
