“Jesus called the children to him and said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.’”
— Luke 18:16
Preschoolers are special people! They have unique abilities, personalities, and learning styles. At Living Lord Lutheran Church Preschool, we are dedicated to providing a caring environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Our teachers treat each child with love and respect as they teach them to explore, discover and learn. Loving discipline is employed as the teachers model and encourage appropriate behavior.
Three-Year-Old Program 2-days (Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00-11:30 am)
Our play based, multi-sensory curriculum encourages development of basic skills all children need to progress through school, and life! Some of these include: developing self-esteem; working on fine and gross motor skills; playing and working well with others; growing creative-thinking and problem-solving skills; and learning to accept and express feelings. The three-year-old program emphasizes these, and more, through fun activities that are designed to encourage and delight our children with a healthy dose of love and encouragement thrown in for good measure.
Four-Year-Old Program 3-days (Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays 9:00-11:30 am)
The four-year-old program adds on to the fundamental areas of development from the three-year-old program and promotes kindergarten readiness, by encouraging increased preschooler responsibility, in a supportive environment while emphasizing the joy in learning.
Pre-K Program 4-days (Monday–Thursdays 12:30-3:00 pm)
Like the four-year-old program, the Pre-K program focuses on continued learning development and building upon skills learned while emphasizing kindergarten readiness and the joy of learning in a warm and loving atmosphere.
In addition to our developmental curriculum, the children learn about Jesus through Bible stories, music, prayer, and the celebration of Christian holidays. Our church's pastors and staff regularly share lessons, stories, and songs with the children through visits to the classroom (three-year-old program) and chapel time in the sanctuary (four-year-old and Pre-K programs).
Parents also have the opportunity to visit the classroom and participate with their child throughout the year.
