What Is Faith Quest?   Sunday School Wrapup Photos

Our mission at Faith Quest is to grow disciples! Faith Quest children, from preschool through sixth grade, are on a journey together to grow in faith and understanding of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Faith Quest is one way Living Lord Lutheran Church partners with families to raise children in the faith. Dedicated volunteer teachers and leaders guide the children each week on this exciting adventure. Our Faith Quest is to seek out a growing, enriching, and saving relationship with Jesus. Join us! Faith Quest is offered during the 10:30 am worship hour.

What Happens in Faith Quest?

Whirl

Kids in preschool through fourth grade participate in the Whirl Sunday school program. In this exciting, lectionary-based program, kids learn about the church seasons and how the weekly readings tie into their daily lives. Kids enjoy age-specific activities including Bible exploration; relevant games; fun videos featuring endearing characters that illustrate each lesson; and meaningful take-home family activities. Learn more details and the weekly schedule.

CrossRoads

Kids in fifth and sixth grades take part in an engaging pre-confirmation program through which they explore God’s Word and learn about the sacraments and other church practices. Lessons and activities are designed to help kids ask questions and explore how God fits into their world. These kids also join in worship to receive the Holy Communion. Learn more.

Security, Volunteers, and Training

A parent, guardian, or another designated individual must accompany his/her children (all grade levels) to Faith Quest, and sign them in. Teachers will release the students to these individuals at the end of the hour, checking off their names as they are released.

Volunteers are welcome and encouraged. You do not need to have a child in Faith Quest to volunteer. All adult Faith Quest staff are required to attend security leadership training and sign a covenant form and an authorization for a background check. Please contact Steve Ricci for more information on our security policies. Our security policies are an important way to help keep Living Lord a safe place to bring our children.
